F. A. Q.

  • What are the prerequisites of attending GTD Training Course?

    There are none. This training is ideal for those new to or experienced with GTD.

  • How is attending the training better than just reading the book?

    Attending the training is the fastest way to become an GTD enthusiast. Reading the book will definitely help you get started. In fact, many people who come to the training have already read the book (though it is not required).

    While the book is great from a knowledge perspective, the training helps from a practical point of view. It is the difference between knowing something and actually doing it correctly.

  • What is needed to attend the training?

    Space and time:
    To attend the in-person training course you need to be in Hilton Tallinn Park on Wednesday, November 20th from 9:00 to 17:00.

    Computer and software:
    the follow-up Guided Weekly Review session on Friday, November 29th. To attend this session you need a PC or Mac with good internet connection, webcam, microphone, and speakers, and Zoom Workplace app installed.

  • Can I add extra coaching during the training?

    It is possible to upgrade your package during the training to include personal post-training coaching and continue your GTD learning without a break. We will issue invoice to cover the price difference without any additional fees charged.

  • What happens if I have paid the invoice but need to cancel at the last moment?

    In such a situation you can pass the right to attend to someone else. Alternatively you can attend our next public training at a discount. We don’t have a return funds option for public trainings.

  • Do others teach GTD?

    GTD Estonia (Brightwork OÜ) is the only authorized partner of the Crucial Learning and the David Allen Company in Estonia. Our trainers undergo a rigorous training and certification process designed and optimized by Crucial Learning.

    Ours is therefore the only licensed and certified GTD training program in Estonia.

In-person GTD® Training Course

Productivity with Purpose

Based on the bestseller by David Allen, the skills taught in Getting Things Done® Training Course have been shown to relieve cognitive load, allow for increased focus, even result in optimal experience and peak performance.

This training provides the basic building blocks for understanding and implementing GTD through behavior change and habit building.

Learn more about GTD: what it is and how it works.

David Allen, the developer of Getting Things Done talks about the value of learning GTD to individuals, teams, and organizations.

What You’ll Learn

Go beyond productivity tips and learn a personal workflow management system through instruction, application, and coaching.

  1. Capture – Direct everything to a few chosen capture tools that you empty regularly.
  2. Clarify – Identify the very next action that would move you toward closure.
  3. Organize – Sort next actions by context rather than topic to make completing them easier.
  4. Reflect – Scan your calendar and lists at the right times.
  5. Engage – Use your system to take appropriate action with confidence.
  6. Review – Make time each week to conduct a formal review of your tasks and goals.

Learning Objectives

After completing this training, participants

  • are able to apply the key GTD principles and concepts in their work and life;
  • are able to identify productivity improvement opportunities;
  • will have their own GTD workflow system installed.

Training venue and stages

The training will take place in Hilton Tallinn Park hotel (F. R. Kreutzwaldi tn 23, Tallinn) and is led by Certified GTD Master Trainer Paul Vahur.

The training program has 2 stages:

  1. GTD Training Course (in-person, Wednesday, November 20th);
  2. Guided Weekly Review (online, Friday, November 29th).

GTD Training Course content is presented through engaging lectures, engaging and fun videos, hands-on exercises, group discussions, trainer demonstrations, and videos of David Allen and GTD Master Trainers sharing the best practices.

Full lunch at Hilton Tallinn Park and coffee, tea, and snacks during breaks are included in training price.

Guided Weekly Review helps you learn through practice the key habit of maintaining your GTD system. We will walk through each step of the Weekly Review so that you can experience the entire process and begin making it a trusted part of your system.

This session will be recorded and shared with training program participants afterwards.
